Winter Couples Session at Whitetail Woods

Jessica reached out to me in December to do a couples session with her and her hubby in the Minnesota winter. At the time there wasn’t a stitch of snow on the ground and all I was thinking, uhhh maybe we wait until January? Maybe we’d get some snow by then. ??

The temps changed from freezing to basically spring weather from the end of December up to the day of their session, and I PRAYED hard that we just get a tiny bit of dusting to add a bit of magical dusting of snow on the pine trees. The night before session it snowed a tiny bit to answer my session prayers.

When Jessica and I talked about locations for her session, she sent me a couple of images of what she was looking for, and I knew the perfect location for what she wanted. When she showed up in her GORGEOUS wine colored dress, I knew that it was the perfect place to capture the vision she had for her couples session.

I had an absolute blast getting to know Peyton and Jessica during their session and look forward to working with them in the future! Check out my favorites from their session below!

It was the first day of Defeat of Jesse James Days, one of the biggest events in town, and let’s just say I wasn’t fully prepared for the festival vibes to kick off so soon! I had thought the event started the following day, not on the day of Emily’s session. That little mix-up led to an unexpected twist in our plans, but one thing remained constant—Emily’s amazing energy, which kept the session fun and relaxed from start to finish.
