If you’re an upcoming senior and are looking for places to take your senior pictures in the Twin Cities area, I’ve got some inspiration for you! Senior pictures are a fun time and we want to give you some examples of locations we’ve used in the past. This way you can spend less time stressing about scouting spots. And more time focusing on finding those perfect outfits and accessories!

Downtown Northfield

Downtown Northfield, Minnesota, is a charming and vibrant area that blends historic architecture with modern businesses and community spaces. Known for its picturesque setting along the Cannon River, the downtown area has a distinctive small-town feel with an eclectic mix of locally-owned shops, restaurants, cafes, and galleries. Many of the buildings in downtown Northfield reflect the town’s 19th-century roots, with brick facades, detailed cornices, and vintage signage. The area has been preserved to maintain its historic charm, making it feel like a step back in time while still offering modern amenities – aka GORGEOUS backdrop for your senior photos.

Whitetail Woods Regional Park – Farmington

Known for its natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and wildlife habitat, the park offers a perfect escape for outdoor enthusiasts looking to enjoy a variety of activities in a tranquil environment. Top things for my girl seniors – wildflower fields towards the end of summer, tall grasses, and all the other beautiful flowers blooming at the park. For my guys, 2 separate bridges, a brick wall, TONS of trees. For everyone, gorgeous scenery all around. Most of my seniors choose this location.

Schaar’s Bluff- Hastings

Schaars Bluff is a beautiful and relatively lesser-known area located within the Hastings region, along the Mississippi River. Schaars Bluff offers a serene, peaceful vibe that appeals to nature lovers, hikers, photographers, and anyone looking for a quiet retreat in the outdoors. This area is becoming one of my favorites to photograph at.
