Family is the most important thing in the world.” – Princess Diana
Sarah reached out to me in early spring to book a family session with her her family and in-laws, as a gift to her mother in-law for Mothers Day. I thought that was the sweetest thing ever. Also something the matriarch of the VanBenthusyen family would cherish for years to come.
Kaitlyn’s session is my first spring senior session and I want to do more spring senior sessions! Check out the gorgeous flowering trees in the background. LOVE!! I’ve shot at this park a couple of times in the past but never in the spring when the foliage is so different than late summer early fall.
The weather was playing games with us all day the day of her session. It threatened to rain most of the day, then part of the day and then finally, just a little bit of the day.

Jessica reached out to me in December to do a couples session with her and her hubby in the Minnesota winter. At the time there wasn’t a stitch of snow on the ground and all I was thinking, uhhh maybe we wait until January? Maybe we’d get some snow by then. 🤞🏻 The temps changed from freezing to basically spring weather from the end of December up to the day of their session, and I PRAYED hard that we just get a tiny bit of dusting to add a bit of magical dusting of snow on the pine trees. The night before session it snowed a tiny bit to answer my session prayers.
I seriously could not have asked for a nicer evening than the one I spent with the Wroten family at Whitetail woods! Joleen’s parents were visiting for a bit late in September and she thought it’d be a perfect opportunity to grab some photos with them while they were here.
